Self-aligning Ball Bearings

Self-aligning Ball Bearings

Self-aligning ball bearings have two rows of balls, a common sphered raceway in the outer ring and two deep uninterrupted raceway grooves in the inner ring.   The bearings are insensitive to angular misalignment of the shaft which can be caused, for example, by shaft deflection.  Due to their small contact angle, they have less axial load capacity.

This bearing has excellent high-speed and light load performance, can accommodate static and dynamic misalignment, and can be used on:

- Industrial fans

- Agriculture

- Material handling

- Food and beverage

- Pulp and paper

This kind of bearing has open type and sealed type( bore diameter 10<d<70mm), with cylindrical or tapered bore. It is recommended to use an adapter on aself-aligning ball bearing with a tapered bore inner diameter for ease of installation anddisassembly. These bearings and adapters areoften used on drive shaft applications.
